Recent research of Cheapflights.co.uk reveals a trend towards an increasing numbers of holiday makers who prefer to strip off on the beach. According to recent figures, participation in nudism is growing by 20 percent annually. A recent poll from Cheapflights.co.uk also shows that ten percent of its viewers would choose to leave their clothes behind on holiday.

According to the Cheapflights.co.uk some of the best word’s naturist beaches are Playa El Mago in Majorca, Sweetwater, Crete, Greece -also known as Gliko Nero, Banana Beach, Skiathos in Greece, Sylt in Germany, Haulover Beach in Miami, USA, Wreck Beach, Vancouver in Canada, Montalivet in France, Samurai Beach in Australia and Valalta in Croatia.

Valalta is located on the Istrian peninsula, 8km (5 miles) from the city of Rovinj, Valalta has 3km (2 miles) of Blue Flag beaches and secluded coves. There is a naturist settlement nearby with a sea-water swimming pool and olive-tree and vine lined green spaces.
The Valalta Naturist Camp was established at the end of the 1960s on the tame slopes stretching along the northern coast of Rovinj. It offers accommodation in a naturist camping ground, bungalows, apartments and luxury mobile homes. Valalta has a large number of food-service facilities and bars, evenly distributed throughout the complex, a modern seawater pool complex for adults, children and non-swimmers, an artificial sea for those more inclined to land-based paddling in water. Numerous recreation and body care amenities are found within the pool complex, which is open from mid-May to mid-September. It even has a modernly equipped port, the first and only naturist port with a marina in the Adriatic, opened to the satisfaction of naturist sailors.

Valalta won Croatia’s best campsite award for 2008. As part of the Best Croatian Camps project, initiated by the Croatian Camping Association with the aim of improving camp quality, Valalta Naturist Camp received an award acknowledging its tradition of providing quality service. Camps were rated in several categories – quality of sanitary facilities, parcels, food and beverage offer, and sports and entertainment amenities.
